Thames Valley Group

Thames Valley Group

Established in 2005 the Thames Valley Group is a relatively young group which aims to support trustees and all those involved in the delivery and support of employer based pension schemes. The meetings are also open to non-members and the catchment area is defined by the M3 to the South and the M40 to the North.

Meetings are normally held in Reading or Wokingham and provide a forum for training, discussion and mutual support for our members. However, for the immediate future meetings will be replaced by webinars.

Membership is open to all members (Fund or Business) of the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association with employees living or working in and around the Thames Valley, and at the discretion of the Committee, interested organisations or individuals who are not members of the Association. There are no subscription fees to join Thames Valley Local Group.

Countdown to Implementation Statements – Are You Ready? webinar

Date: Monday 21 September

Time: 4pm - 5pm

Session Summary
From 1 October 2020, all pension schemes will need to include an implementation statement in the annual report and accounts and this must be made publicly available online. This webinar will cover what DB and DC schemes need to include in their implementation statement and the challenges it may present, particularly for those required over the next few months. The PLSA have produced a useful guide for this process and we are very fortunate to have two speakers who were key members of the Working Group who put it together.
