Summary Of Measures The PLSA Is Adopting In Its Office To Help Prevent The Spread Of Coronavirus – Information For Visitors

  • PLSA is committed to keeping its staff and visitors safe whilst in the office and has adopted the following measures to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
  • If you are unwell you should not come into the office.
  • If, whilst vising the PLSA office, you develop a high temperature, persistent cough or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste you should notify the person in charge of the meeting, return home immediately and follow the guidance on self-isolation.
  • If you contract coronavirus and think you contracted it around the time you were in our office please let the PLSA know so other people in attendance of the meeting can be informed (no names will be given).
  • Upon entering the building please observe the measures the building has put in place which are currently; use hand sanitiser on entry and exit, wear a face mask, use the stairs if possible but should you use the lifts then they have a maximum capacity of two people – please note these measures are not under PLSA’s control and may be subject to change so please observe the signage in the main building entrance and lift areas.
  • During your visit a one metre distancing rule must be observed at all times, i.e. whilst in your meeting or moving around the office.  We have maximum capacities in place for all meeting rooms.  Should you be in attendance of a meeting which extends the one metre distancing rule you will be notified in advance and asked to provide an NHS covid pass on entering the office.
  • Please note that face masks are not a requirement in the office but should you feel more comfortable wearing a mask please do so.
  • Please use the hand sanitiser provided upon entering and exiting the office.
  • Please wash your hands thoroughly with water and soap, or use hand sanitiser, before and after eating and drinking.
  • Please wash your hands thoroughly (using soap and water) before and after using the toilet facilities.
  • PLSA has adopted a more vigorous cleaning regime in its office which will be undertaken by its contracted professional cleaning company.  As well as the offices being cleaned each evening, they will receive a deep clean each Friday evening, electro fogging each month and a cleaner will be in each day between 13:00-15:00 to clean the communal areas and toilets.
  • The ventilation system in the office sucks clean air in and dirty air out, so although windows cannot be opened, the ventilation in the office is appropriate in helping to prevent the spread of coronavirus in that it doesn’t recirculate the air.
  • Should you have any further questions about your visit to our office please get in contact with the PLSA person in charge of your meeting or event who will be able to help.
