Fund Membership

Fund Membership

The breadth of our fund membership and effective lobbying helps to achieve a better, more affordable and sustainable pensions system. Our campaigning has helped change legislation to the benefit of trustees, employers and scheme members. It has eased the regulatory burden on pension schemes, helping to save our members hundreds of millions of pounds.

Benefits of membership

  • Free registration for you, your trustees and pensions colleagues at all our conferences and events. This includes Annual Conference, Investment Conference and ESG Conference. (There is a charge at Local Authority Conference to cover accommodation, but the conference itself is free.)
  • Access to our trustee training, designed to improve your skills and deliver good outcomes for members.
  • Independent lobbying, making your voice heard where it matters in Westminster, Whitehall and with the regulators.
  • Opportunities to connect with fellow pension professionals through our networks and events.
  • Ground-breaking research on the new world of pensions and lifetime savings.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Subscriptions are based on the number of members in your scheme(s)*. Rates are calculated at 24.09 pence per member per year. There is a minimum subscription of £318 applying for small schemes (1,321 members or fewer). The maximum for large schemes is £19,530 (81,070 members or more), following a review of maximum subscriptions introduced by the PLSA Board this year. Existing larger members will see the increase in their subscriptions phased over three years from 2022 to 2024. There is a subscription of £318 for international members.

*Includes the total number of members (active, deferred and pensioners) of all your pension schemes.
