Terms and Conditions of Events Registration

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF EVENT REGISTRATION

All Events

  • All invoices are payable within 30 days. VAT will be charged at the prevailing rate. Late payment of the invoice may result in the delegate's place being lost.
  • Bookings made less than 30 days prior to an event need to be paid in full before the event commences. Failure to pay may result in the delegate not being able to gain access to the event.
  • All bookings made using a member rate are based on the organisation having fully paid membership at the time of the event. If membership subscriptions are not paid, the non-member fee will be charged.
  • Individual registrations are unique to an individual and cannot be shared.
  • By registering for an event you consent to sharing your professional details with the event’s sponsors for the purpose of contacting you in relation to that event only. You can opt out of their mailing groups at any time. Please take a look at our privacy notice here. Contact Nikolina Hudi on 020 7601 1710 if you do not consent to your details being shared.
  • By registering for an event you agree to be considerate and respectful to event attendees, and look after one another. If you see any behaviour which you deem is inappropriate, please report it, at your earliest convenience, and in strictest confidence, to     [email protected]   or      [email protected].
  • The details you have provided during registration will be used to create an account that will entitle you access to the conference app / on-demand content, including the attendees list to network before, during and after the event. For further information on the processing of your data and your rights, please refer to our digital platform’s protection of data policy: www.swapcard.com/gdpr or send an email to     [email protected].
  • If a face-to-face event cannot take place at the planned time, date or location due to any reason beyond the PLSA’s reasonable control, including (without limitation) any law or any action taken by a government or public authority including (without limitation) any restrictions or rules introduced by a government, any labour or trade dispute, strikes, industrial action or lockouts (other than in each case by the PLSA), acts of God, flood, drought, earthquake or other natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic, terrorist attack, civil war, civil commotion or riots, war, threat of or preparation for war, armed conflict, imposition of sanctions, embargo, or breaking off of diplomatic relations, nuclear, chemical or biological contamination or sonic boom, collapse of buildings, fire, explosion or accident or interruption or failure of utility service, the event will still take place, but on an alternative date(s), time and/or location. The alternative date, time and/or location will be sought as quickly as possible and you will be registered for such alternative date(s), times and/or location, but no guarantee can be made that the event will take place in the same calendar year as the planned event. A refund (less any costs incurred by the PLSA as set out in the bullet points below) will be available if you cannot make the alternative face-to-face arrangements. If an alternative date to run a face-to-face event cannot be found, we will seek to run the event digitally and your booking will automatically be transferred to such digital event and any difference in fees refunded. The PLSA will have no further liability to you in respect of the event in such circumstances.
  • If a digital event cannot take place as planned due to any reason beyond the PLSA’s reasonable control, including (without limitation) any law or any action taken by a government or public authority including (without limitation) any restrictions or rules introduced by a government, any labour or trade dispute, strikes, industrial action or lockouts (other than in each case by the PLSA), acts of God, flood, drought, earthquake or other natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic, terrorist attack, civil war, civil commotion or riots, war, threat of or preparation for war, armed conflict, imposition of sanctions, embargo, or breaking off of diplomatic relations, nuclear, chemical or biological contamination or sonic boom, collapse of buildings, fire, explosion or accident or interruption or failure of utility service, the event will still take place, but on an alternative date and/or time and you will be registered for such alternative date(s) and/or time. The PLSA aims to reschedule the digital event as quickly as possible, but cannot guarantee that the rescheduled digital event will take place in the same calendar year as the original planned event.  If an alternative date and/or time to run the digital event cannot be found, your booking will automatically be refunded subject to any deductions as set out in the bullet point below. The PLSA will have no further liability to delegates in respect of the event in such circumstances.
  • The PLSA reserves the right to alter the programme, speakers or dates of an event at any time, without notice. If, for any reason, the event is cancelled or does not take place (face-to-face or digitally) the PLSA will refund you for the cost of the booking after deduction of any amounts that the PLSA has already paid out to third parties towards the delivery of the event. This will be the full extent of the PLSA’s liability to individual delegates in respect of the event.
  • All cancellations must be notified in writing (which term includes by email).
