TPR FCA Joint Call for Input on Pension Consumer Journey: PLSA response

The PLSA has responded to the joint Call for Input by TPR and the FCA on the Pension Consumer Journey. The Call for Input looks at engagement with savers at the starting a pension and accumulation stages. It seeks to understand behavioural biases, barriers to engagement, overarching harms and structural issues.

The PLSA response highlights the life/teachable moments that both serve as key times when savers are ready to engage and can have an impact on retirement outcomes.

We re-iterated our response to the Work and Pensions Select Committee on Pension Scams from 2020, and highlighted our work on decumulation, the gender pensions gap and self-employed savings.
