Derivatives:A practical guide to trustees' responsibilities
Derivatives:A practical guide to trustees' responsibilities

Trustees must understand not only what derivatives are, but they must understand their responsibilities for the oversight of their scheme’s derivative activities and for decisions about the use of derivatives.  Derivatives made simple, launched at the NAPF’s Trustee Conference in December 2010, addressed the question of what trustees need to know about derivatives.  Derivatives: A practical guide to trustees’ responsibilities, building on the ‘made simple’ and launched at the Trustee Conference a year later, addresses what trustees need to do to monitor and control their scheme’s derivative positions and when making decisions on the use of derivatives.  The Practical Guide was produced for the NAPF by its Financial Instruments Working Group.  Hard copy is available free with every copy of the Derivatives made simple purchased through the NAPF Shop.
