On 9 February 2012 the Pensions Policy Institute published ‘Closing the gap: the choices and factors that can affect private pension income in retirement’, a research report commissioned by the NAPF.
The research explores the impact that employee choices within a DC scheme, including the level of contributions, whether to opt out of pension provision, when to retire, and which annuity to select, can have on an individual’s private pension income in retirement. It also explores the impact of other factors determined by the employer, including the level of employer contributions and the level of charges of the pension scheme.
