PLSA welcomes PASA Data Matching Convention Guidance for pensions dashboards

07 December 2021

The Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association (PLSA) welcomes PASA’s Data Matching Convention Guidance for pension dashboards.

Nigel Peaple, Director of Policy and Advocacy at the PLSA said: “Administrators will implement data matching for dashboards so it's right for PASA to lead on the Data Matching Convention (DMC) Guidance. However, as data controllers, all schemes must define how this matching is done for their data, so the PLSA is very happy to support and promote the PASA DMC Guidance.

“Schemes should be discussing this topic with their administrators and other providers now, and reviewing the accuracy of the personal data values held for all of their deferred and active member records.

“This initial DMC Guidance does not completely resolve the matching challenges: questions of liability and maybe matches remain for 2022. But it's an important step in helping schemes prepare for dashboards.”
