The Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) is experiencing a period of substantial change. Significant policy developments since 2010, including the advent of the LGPS investment pools for England and Wales, has led to an increase in pressure on recruitment, retention and resourcing. 

Talent Management in the LGPS: The Three Rs follows research we undertook in 2018 to analyse the common talent management challenges currently facing the LGPS, bringing together the experiences of administrating authority leaders.

The guide includes examples of proactive remedies that will interest all LGPS stakeholders, identifies the key drivers of the challenges and suggests additional ways in which to mitigate these factors.
