The PLSA is joining forces with colleagues across the pensions industry to boost people’s engagement with their pensions. The Engagement Seasons campaign, which will run in autumn / winter this year, aims to help people understand the basics – how to identify who their pension providers are, make sure their contact details are up-to-date and check how much they have saved towards retirement.
We also need to help people decide how to use their pension pots at retirement; the PLSA has been developing proposals for Guided Retirement Income Choices that would steer savers towards good outcomes.
The PLSA’s Joe Dabrowski, who co-chairs the steering group overseeing the Engagement Seasons project, explains what the campaign will look like and Jon Echevarria discusses the at-retirement issues.
