Chief Policy Adviser, Pension Protection Fund
Chris is the Chief Policy Adviser at the Pension Protection Fund. He is responsible for developing the PPF’s policy on the levy, managing consultations and advising the Board on the implications of responses. Over the last two years he has been closely involved in changes for the next three years – including the development of our approach to insolvency risk and addressing issues raised by SPV employers. In addition to his role in the strategy and policy team, he also chairs the PPF’s internal reviews process for levy reviews.
Before being Chief Policy Adviser, he worked in the Financial Risk Directorate. He joined the PPF in August 2006.
Before joining the PPF, his career was largely in public policy. He worked for the Financial Services Authority managing policy relating to financial crime, and prior to that for a number of Government departments – principally HM Treasury and (what is now) the department for Communities and Local Government – developing policy and on performance improvement schemes.
