Many factors fuelled the desires for the referendum and eventual leave vote, including growing economic inequality and the UK's low-growth economic environment. Referendum voting patterns replicated economic differences established across local authorities decades ago. How will local authorities and their funds approach the prospect of falling incomes and growing inequality?
