Introduction to Trusteeship - Part 1: The Theory (IT1809)

This course is the first of two 1-day courses which together provide an introduction to the role of a pension scheme trustee. If you are new to trusteeship or thinking about becoming a pension scheme trustee this course is right for you. Learn the theory of pension scheme trusteeship, including what is expected from trustees and how to apply good scheme governance.

Please note this course on Wednesday 19 September will take place at Pinsent Masons, 30 Crown Place, Earl Street, London, EC2A 4ES.

Introduction to Trusteeship - Part 2: The practice (IP1810)

This course is the second of two 1-day courses which together provide an introduction to the role of a pension scheme trustee. It is suitable for new trustees who have already learned the rudiments of pension scheme trusteeship or if you have already attended Introduction to trusteeship Part 1: The theory.

Pension Basics Virtual Training (VTPB1810)

Pension Basics is in two parts: Session 1 - Getting to know the UK pensions system (11:00 - 12:00). Session 2 - Understanding the outcomes, this will take place in the afternoon on this date (14:00 - 15:00).  The sessions are offered through our virtual training platform and together they explore, for example, the key principles of UK pensions, their characteristics and finances, the organisations that monitor them and where to go to get more information.

The sessions are offered through our virtual training platform using an internet connection. You will need video and audio access to do this training. If you work in an open plan office you may want to use head phones.

Teach-in 05: Superfunds and Master Trusts: the future of DB and DC consolidation (TI1810A)

 

The teach-in will be relevant to trustees with responsibility for DB or DC schemes. It will cover the potential legal framework for DB consolidation, and the DC without-consent transfer requirements, including for authorised master trusts.

Annual Conference & Exhibition 2018 (AC18)

Our flagship event, a three day conference attracting over 1,500 attendees – the most important event of the year for anyone involved in pensions (trustees, pension scheme managers, administrators, HR specialists, finance directors and their advisers).  The event includes a trade exhibition of approximately 80 exhibition stands.

Becoming a trustee Virtual Training (VTBT1810)

Becoming a trustee is in two parts: Session 1 - (11:00 -12:00 noon). Session 2 - (14:00 -15:00). The sessions are offered through our virtual training platform and together they provide an insight into the appointment and role of a trustee. Employers and pension schemes keen to develop wider, more diverse participation on their trustee boards may also find this course helpful to inform employees or past employees who may be selected for election to a trustee board.

Teach-in 06:Why financial advice is important to all employees? (TI1810B)

This teach-in will provide essential information for scheme trustees, HR executives and Business Directors and Compensation/Benefits Executives in order that they may help their scheme members and employees understand a number of financial issues.

Teach-in 07: Currency Overlay: Why and How? (TI1810C)

Using the example of a hypothetical GBP-based investor, we’ll demonstrate the impact of leaving currency unhedged in an international bond and equity portfolio over the period 2000-18 and then examine the impact of applying passive and active hedging solutions to these portfolios.
