Retirement Guidance -supporting employees consists of two sessions:

Session 1 - Retirement and later life options 

Session 2 - Accessing retirement savings 

The sessions are offered through our virtual training platform using an internet connection

WHAT IS IT FOR

To help anyone responsible for providing information to employees who are considering accessing their retirement savings.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Anyone new to pensions, HR personnel and those responsible for communicating with employees who are considering accessing their retirement savings.

Session 1 - Retirement and later life options 

  • Financing retirement  eg affordability, retirement duration, family commitments, financial health checks, budgeting
  • Where to gain more information
  • Guidance v advice
  • Avoiding scams 

Session 2 - Accessing retirement savings 

  • Sources of retirement income e.g. pensions and other sources of savings
  • Workplace pensions - the outcomes
  • Factors which impact upon retirement savings eg pension scheme type, taxation  and employee choices

 

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

After taking part in both sessions you will be able to:

  • Explain key factors that employees need to consider when accessing retirement savings

  • Recognise the difference between guidance and 
    advice

  • Identify how to guide employees

  • Be aware of where to go to get more information 

FEES

A single fee of  £150+VAT covers both sessions 1 & 2
