In a unique communications partnership, the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association and ITN Productions have produced a news and current affairs-style programme which promises to chart a year of huge change for pensions.

By the beginning of this year 44,000 employers had enrolled more than five million new savers into a workplace pension scheme as a result of automatic enrolment; this year saw the start of the rollout of automatic enrolment to the one million SMEs who will enroll the next five million savers. There have also been profound changes to the way people access their retirement savings following the HMT’s Freedom and Choice in Pensions reforms which came into effect on 6 April 2015.

Pension Revolution is an in-depth, online programme specifically aimed at those within the sector. The programme investigates the major changes and impact of new legislation on the pension industry. It also explores the role of the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association as the industry evolves and looks ahead to the future of retirement savings. The news-style piece combines key industry interviews and news-style reports with sponsored editorial profiles of some of the leading organisations in the sector.

Simon Shelley, Head of Industry News, ITN Productions said: “ITN Productions are delighted to be partnering with the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association exploring a vital year for pensions and examining what the future of retirement saving might look like. We’re excited to embark on this project to engage with professionals from the industry.”

Pension Revolution was screened for the first time at the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association Annual Conference & Exhibition in Manchester Central on 14 October 2015.
