Phil specialises in all areas of pensions law. He has a wide range of experience advising trustees and corporates, including in relation to buy-ins and buy-outs, liability mitigation exercises (including PIE and ETV exercises), scheme mergers, investment issues, scheme funding and bespoke funding arrangements, and corporate transactions and restructurings. Phil is a senior member of Linklaters’ Pensions Investment Practice, the Firm’s cross-practice group advising on the full range of pension scheme investment issues.

Phil has worked on a number of well-known industry cases, such as the Uniq Scheme restructuring and buyout, the BHS Pension Scheme settlement and solution and the innovative Kodak restructuring.

Phil is a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers and the International Pensions and Employee Benefits Lawyers Association. He is a regular speaker at industry events such as the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association’s and Professional Pensions’ conferences.
