Annual Conference & Exhibition

We are excited to announce that our 2018 Annual Conference & Exhibition, taking place in Liverpool from 17-19 October is now open for bookings.


The title of this year’s conference is ‘Understanding member perspectives’. We are encouraging the industry to focus on the end customer - our scheme members.

We will be exploring many questions, including – Are our schemes designed to meet members’ needs?  Do we understand our members well enough? Are our admin systems providing the service they want? Do we know how to help our members understand pensions?


Trust and engagement are key themes we will be considering, and our high-level roster of speakers, drawn from the worlds of government, business and the media will ensure that the most critical issues facing our industry will be examined from all angles. All types of schemes – DB, DC and master trusts, will benefit from attending the conference as we discuss topics including the fitness of the pensions regulatory environment, the potential impact of Brexit on the economy and schemes, how effective engagement and trust impact members’ attitudes about retirement and what the next generation of savers wants to understand from our industry.


The PLSA’s Annual Conference and Exhibition is our industry’s largest gathering, with around 1,500 trustees, pension managers, investment managers, consultants, policy makers and researchers joining us for three days of plenary and specialist stream sessions, focusing on DB, DC, Member engagement and Pension vision.  In addition we have over 80 exhibitors showcasing the latest products and services the industry  has to offer and many networking events including the PLSA drinks reception.
