PA to the Directors PA to the Directors

We are looking for a proactive and well-organised Personal Assistant to support three Directors (Policy, Membership and Marketing & Communications) within the organisation.

Some of the day-to-day duties include:

  • Diary and email management
  • Organise travel and accommodation and draft itineraries
  • Organise meetings and speaking engagements including liaison with the organisers; gather all required information and prepare PowerPoint presentations
  • Deal with incoming correspondence and calls, prepare outgoing correspondence
  • Committee support – arrange meetings, coordinate and distribute agendas and supporting papers, produce hard copy papers, maintain contact lists on the CRM database

Head of Finance Head of Finance

We are looking for someone to provide a high standard of control, recording and reporting of all financial matters relating to the PLSA.

Key responsibilites include:

  • To lead, manage and inspire the Finance and Membership Administration team, currently four people.
  • To ensure effective financial management and decision making by the PLSA
  • Managing the outsourced payroll service, pension scheme administration and insurance arrangements
  • Managing and ensuring compliance with the company’s tax obligations in relation to PAYE, VAT, Corporation Tax and any other taxes.
  • Ensure the integrity and development of the accounting and membership recording systems, particularly with regards to the controls within these systems
  • Contribute fully to business projects, strategic planning and other corporate activity as appropriate for a manager in a business of the size of the PLSA
  • Deputise for the Chief Operating Officer when required
